... has decided to randomly delete pictures from my old account there. This screws up certain old posts on my LJ. This also means that I now have to upload pics at the infinitely more reliable Imgur and repost pics.

I can't figure out why certain pics have been deleted. I noticed when my header for LJ went missing tonight, (the one that has Kevin's quote on porn fanfic). So, I thought it was just some homophobic reaction, because it had 2 men kissing in it, but while checking further I seem to randomly miss pictures.  Even a few old pics I had of Iris are simply gone.

Remember when I wrote my own season 6 & 7? Well certain pics (Kevin, Saul, Kitty for instance are gone) while others like Nora, Scotty and Chad are still there. None of the pics had 'sexual content', I can't imagine that Matthew, Ron or Calista had a complaint, so I have no idea what's going on, other than my belief that, because I no longer use the site (too unreliable) they've decided to start deleting things from my account.

It's too bad, I really thought my pics were safe there, but apparently they're not.

In the past I've made some K/S "art-work" for others as well, if you're linked to certain pics on Photobucket or have old pics of mine randomly gone missing, it's not MY fault. I did NOT delete anything. I'm equally annoyed by this.

So, it didn't go as fast and as smoothly as I had wanted but:
Update )

I only went to this site because there was a mention of "Killjoys" with Luke Macfarlane... but I got SO much more than I bargained for...

Take a look at the new films to come to Syfy:

Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! Wednesday, July 22 9/8c
Sharktopus Vs. Whale Wolf (Roger Corman’s third installment of the ‘Sharktopus’ franchise, starring Casper Van Dien)
3-Headed Shark Attack (starring Danny Trejo)
Roboshark
Mega Shark Vs. Kolossus (starring Illeana Douglas)
Zombie Shark (starring Jason London)
The world premiere of Lavalantula, starring Steve Guttenberg and fellow Police Academy alums Leslie Easterbrook and Michael Winslow, as they battle lava-breathing tarantulas threatening to destroy Los Angeles.

The titles alone bring a smile of joy to my face.

Personally I can't wait for the 3rd installment of the totally disasterous masterpiece "Sharknado"

I already thought that 2-headed shark was
totally stupid interesting, now they give me a THREE-headed one? I can't wait!

And the totally believable Sharktopus (head of shark, body of an octopus) already fought a Pteracuda (half Pterodactyl, half Barracuda). What will this brave animal fight this time? Something half whale, half wolf? And, of course, will the 3rd part be as laughably ridiculous delightful to watch as the other two?

Will Roboshark be as painfully stupid amazing as Robocroc or the Mecha shark that attacked Mega Shark?

And "lava-breathing tarantulas"? What a dream-combination.  I seriously CAN NOT wait! Is it June already?

Seriously, though, looking forward to all these masterpieces (with the exception of Zombie Shark) :)

.. And for the first time in years I re-read The summer of 2010, which was written, you guessed it, in 2010. :)

I started this story nearly 5 years ago, with a plan in my head on how the story should be and ... within one chapter my idea was blown to bits. :) I never really re-read it, because I've always remembered this story as 'awful' and 'over the top' and 'unbelievable'. It turned out completely different from what I wanted and in the end I was disappointed with it, so once finished, I couldn't bring myself to read it again.

This weekend, bored as I was, well, not maybe 'bored', but not in the mood to do the things I had to do, I decided to read 'Summer of 2010' again. And... it wasn't as bad as I remembered.

It was fun to read it and realize that it wasn't the complete failure I thought it was. :)

If you're interested in reading stories that are NOT Brothers & Sisters/K/S related, but just original stories, then drop in on my other LJ

http://storiessylviane.livejournal.com

I've only started it recently, just by reposting some of my Non B&S fics that I've written over the last few years, so that all those stories are in ONE place.

But it might be nice to re-read them or read them for the first time... More will be posted there in the coming weeks, but it's moving very slowly. :D
sylviane: (marea67)
... I'm writing an original story, own characters, own storyline and I wonder where I should post it.

I've always felt like this place (Marea67) should be only for Brothers & Sisters and Kevin/Scotty, because that's what I wanted to post here. But now that was then, this is now. I thought about posting at 'Difficultisgood', but it doesn't really belong there either. Can't really open up yet another account on LJ.

Can't make up my mind.
sylviane: (marea67)
How do I unsee this?

I DO feel sorry for Philip though. His wife is a block of ice, his not-wife is a vulcano... That has to leave marks. :D

I just realised that I should make a user-pic with Philip/Stan. :)
sylviane: (the americans)
.. are really getting much closer?

4. Stan is no longer the man: Feeling guilty about Nina's fate and distraught over the dissolution of his marriage, Stan is in a bit of a tailspin. At least he has one constant in his life: Philip. Desperate to get Sandra back, Stan starts attending EST therapy sessions that were all the rage in the '80s with Philip. "I think with the loss of the Nina relationship, Stan had time to re-inventory his life and realize it had been falling apart from under him," Emmerich says. "I think there's an authentic affection there between [Stan and Philip]. A lot of the plot and story didn't support it [in the first two seasons]. Fortunately in Season 3, it's organically inherent in stories they're telling for Stan and Philip to come together socially and interestingly, hopefully, for the audience. They do have a real friendship that's building."

Uhm,... yyyyesssss??????? (I'm cautiously optimistic about liking season 3 better than the other 2. Still, not getting too enthusiastic. Remember: Seeing is believing.

I want to wish everyone a wonderful, loving, awesome, amazing and fantabulous 2015, with lots of laughter, hapiness and with very little worries and grief. Lots of love! Sylviane/Marea67

Wow, it IS weird to have it nearly be Christmas and not be writing/posting some Christmas-fic. I feel like I should be writing something. I've done that every year since 2007

- 2007 - seperated until the last minute
- 2008 - Stuck with the entire family in a house, and then the power went out.
- 2009 - on the run from a psychopath
- 2010 - Scotty and Jason in a car-accident and Chad/Kevin worried about them
- 2011 - Christmas eps from my own season 6 and all the drama that comes with a Walker-Christmas.
- 2012 - They didn't have Christmas at all. (well not fanfic-wise) but I kinda/sorta made it up to them early 2013 with a belated Christmas thingy.
- 2013 - a nice little get-away for the boys, but nothing very 'hot' happened there.

I re-read "Last Christmas" (posted around Christmas 2009) these last few days. I hadn't read it in quite a while, because each time I read back about Alex Grodin, I regret my decision to kill him off. He was such a wonderful psycho. :)

Thing is, that I probably wouldn't have know what to write about anyway. Not fond of Olivia and wasn't really all 'awwwww' about Daniel (I tried though!) so a cute family-Christmas wouldn't have been in the cards. I feel that Kevin and Scotty (/Chad/Jason) have been harrassed enough, so no Christmas drama with happy ending either. And when I send the boys away from some hot sexy vacation.. nothing happens...

I'm not particularly fond of Kitty, Sarah and Tommy, so I don't miss them any more than I do Holly and Rebecca.

I do miss Kevin and Scotty though... :)  It IS weird to sit here and have nothing to write. :)

ETA:

I wonder: If I WOULD have written a Christmas-fic, what should have been about?

Brothers & Sisters Archives

Quite possible no one remembers it's existence, because I created it and then kinda, sorta forgot all about it. Ooops! Blush! But I had another good look around. Even after all this time the walls still seem sturdy enough and there are so many empty shelves ready to be filled. Not saying I'll be posting every day, but ... we'll see. Not making promises I can't keep.

I've been thinking of posting my review for episode 1.01 next Sunday. Sort of make Sunday Brothers & Sisters day again. Perhaps this will entice others to watch it again as well and agree/disagree/think with me.
sylviane: (marea67)
7 years!  I’ve enjoyed writing a lot. I’ve learned a lot. It has expanded my horizon. I’ve gotten a lot of nice reviews, sometimes very personal stories, good discussions, the occasional hate-mail and spam, but in general I’ve been happy with this account.

So, I can say that it’s been a good run. But all good things must come to an end.

I’ve written 346 stories consisting of 1048 chapters. 1.839.576 words…I’ve however noticed the decline in interest. There were fewer and fewer responses and this last 2 months I’ve written/posted 15 stories with a total of 41 stories, which got an total of 14 responses.

I guess it’s only natural that interest dries up. The show got canceled a long time ago. Most people have moved on and maybe it’s time for me to do the same. I’m not saying that I will never ever write Kevin/Scotty again. They’re still in my system.

Just, right now, it no longer offers me much fun to write them. English is not my native language and sometimes it takes me a while to write a halfway-decent story. Maybe I've spent too much time on writing them. I don't know.

Perhaps the writing bug bites me again when Matthew returns with The Americans (though the show is not that inspirational to be honest, so I doubt it) or when Luke shows his face in Killjoys. I don’t know.

I only know that I’ve deleted all other ‘still pending’ stories, gotten rid of all ‘don’t throw away yet’-ideas, set free the remaining plot-bunnies, finished the last stories that I wanted to post, with ‘Everything Scotty wanted to know….’ as the last one, for the time being.

I’m not saying goodbye to Brothers & Sisters. I’ve decided to finally get back to something that I’ve been wanting to do since the show got cancelled in 2011 and that is my “Brothers and Sisters archives”.  I’ve just never had the time to dedicate to it, and hopefully, now I have. Or not. I don't know.

I’m not entirely done with Matthew Rhys, though I will probably stop making the calendar pages. It’s a lot of work for just one or two interested people. On the other hand, it’s fun to play with Matthew (‘s pictures) so I’m not sure about what to do with that.

I started this year with the feeling that 2014 would be my year and in a lot of ways it was not. I’ve had some minor ups and some huge downs. There have been some tough moments this year and where writing Kevin/Scotty had once been my escape-pod, it didn’t work anymore.

So maybe it’s also the year where I have to say goodbye to things I used to love, with the hope that it will replaced by something that I will love in the future.

I want to thank the few remaining readers very much for everything. I'm so grateful for the time you've given my writing...

... the only spoiler that sounds vaguely interesting is this:

Another relationship that will get more screen time next season is the friendship between neighbors Philip and Stan, the FBI agent tasked with stopping the Soviets. While the creators loved that relationship, "the story never drove them together," said Weisberg, but "it's finally really going to happen" in season 3.

But I've been reading about that before, and it didn't happen in season 2, I guess 'seeing is believing' and I'm not holding my breath.

zanger - matt alber 02Matt Alber has a beautiful new video-clip with his beautiful song 'Handsome man'. And while his opinion of a 'handsome man' varies from mine (I prefer my men to get JUST a little closer to a razor) this clip is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo incredibly sweet, pretty and lovely and drop-dead gorgeous, that I can live with it. :)

I also posted this on "Difficultisgood", I know. I'm sorry if I, for once, give you 2 same posts. :)

sylviane: (quote: get drunk?)
I’ve reached something of a milestone. :)

Since November 2007 I’ve written 330 stories with a total of 1000 chapters for the Marea67 account. And, according to Word, it all adds up to 1.769.259 words! (bet you always wanted to know that!)

Not bad for an amateur! Some stories were short (100 word drabbles) some were a bit longer…. (171.000 words exact for ‘Turn a different corner! The biggest story.)

In May 2012, when I ended my own series 6, I had wondered if people had questions for me. I once wrote the answers, but never posted them, because I wanted to do that together with the so-called 'deleted scenes' of season 6 (and then 7). But things didn’t go according to plan. The ‘deleted scenes’ for my own season 6+7 never really happened. Aside from the few I did write, but never posted, I don’t think that they will get finished.

However, I still owe a few answers to a few people and I thought that this little mile-stone would be a good place do it. Remember, these were questions from 2012, after I had finished my own series 6 of  B&S. I'm sorry it took so long to get you the answers... :) Better late than never, right? ;)

More blah-blah under the cut... :) )

... if the writers of B&S wanted to write a soap so badly, why, oh, why didn't they look at "Dallas"? I've just been rewatching some eps from season 4 from "Dallas". Man, those writers could more excitement in ONE episode than those of B&S could in an entire storyline.
