... if the writers of B&S wanted to write a soap so badly, why, oh, why didn't they look at "Dallas"? I've just been rewatching some eps from season 4 from "Dallas". Man, those writers could more excitement in ONE episode than those of B&S could in an entire storyline.

I don't know, I don't really like soaps as such. I mean, originally it was meant to be a much more serious drama about family, love and all that. It could have been more groundbreaking that it ended up being when Baitz "left".

I know that it was supposed to be a drama, but once you realize that you've moved from 'good drama' to 'bad soap' at least try make yourself better by stealing from the better soaps so you can be above 'bad'.

I don't particularly like soaps either, but I grew up with 'Dallas' and 'Dynasty' and those were Good Soaps. Over the top, sure, but fun to watch. :)
