6 Nov 2010 13:11I'm working on a fan-fic at the moment. Something that started one way and will most likely end another way, as I had a 'light-bulb' moment this morning. :)
It's hard to write right now. The cheating-storyline has pitted the Kevin and Scotty fans against each other, and I'm tired of it all. I'm tired of Kevin being portrayed as 'the monster' in the relationship and the only one to blame, where I feel BOTH of them screwed up badly.
I've decided to simply focus on Kevin, because, as someone who's been cheated on as well, he's the person I can simply relate to him the best. Yesterday, I wanted to post that, for me personally, 'cheating' knocks the foundation right out of your marriage. Your marriage, as you knew it, is simply gone, over, blown away.
It is like a hurricane hitting your house and all you are left with is the debris of what once was. Even if you could keep all the pieces together, you can never restore the house to exactly the way it used to be. (Kevin and Scotty's marriage as they knew it, is over)
Now, all you can do is look at the pile of debris and decide what to do. You can to throw in the towel, call it quits, end it all and just move away.... (Divorce)
Ánother option is to clear up the space, get a new foundation, and rebuild and make it stronger than ever and capable to handle the next calamity. (Which is what I hope K/S will do)
Or you can make some make-shift home, taped together with sticky tape and a couple of nails, that wil not survive the next hurricane. (Hope the writers won't go there)
(Of course, there's a 4th solution to simply build two smaller houses on the same spot, with each of them having a seperate entrance, and only meet each other for barbecues in the backyard, so that one can fuck someone else all he wants, because the other one really no longer cares if he does.... but let's not get into that one.)
But I didn't post it. Like I didn't post many of my replies these last few weeks, because they are just too personal and too much based on my own feelings. :(
Anyhow: Let's see, who can help Kevin find his start to clean up his end of the mess. :)
